Wow, I had no idea how much this experience would affect me. I can't believe how open and friendly that people at Another Way are.

I however wasn't prepared for how real the experience would be. When it hit, it hit hard; but I was determined to go through with it no matter how uncomfortable I was. The stress of just finding someplace to lay down and get some sleep was the worst. We first tried under a bridge, but then paranoia took over after we saw three cops go by. We ended up at the park after diving into a ditch to keep from getting caught.

Of course it was raining and we got soaked. I didn't sleep and kept thinking about how hard it must all be for people who do this all the time. The stress would be enough kill me, let alone the cold, fear, and frustration with the system.

Coming back to my life was difficult, people just don't understand the issue unless they have lived it. I have learned a lot and the experience was extremely valuable.

Thanks Morgan for all you help and concern. I'll write more after I've had more time to process.
